Aslı Solmaz-Kaiser

CEO & Co-founder

Aslı Solmaz-Kaiser is the CEO of iComplai, an early warning system that empowers the food industry to anticipate and prevent risks across global supply chains. With more than 20 years of experience in product safety, Aslı has built a career at the intersection of innovation, regulation, and consumer protection. A former member of the German National Product Safety Committee, Aslı has contributed to shaping national safety standards and policies. Through the Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI), Aslı is part of the emerging-risks network of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA): in June 2026 she represented GHI at the joint session of EFSA’s Emerging Risks Exchange Network (EREN) and Stakeholder Discussion Group on Emerging Risks (StaDG-ER) in Granada, where GHI presented its AI-supported chemical horizon scanning. Before founding iComplai, she led global product development and innovation at one of the global leading testing, inspection, and certification companies. Aslı holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim.

Janosch Peters

CTO & Co-founder

Janosch Peters is the CTO of iComplai, where he leads the engineering and AI architecture behind the platform. With more than twelve years of experience in software engineering and cloud architecture, he builds the systems that turn fragmented regulatory, incident and supply chain data into early, actionable risk signals for the food industry. Before founding iComplai, Janosch worked as a software engineer at Capgemini and as an independent consultant for clients including BMW and the German Federal Employment Agency, building large-scale enterprise systems in highly regulated environments. Janosch holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich.
